How to Unblock the Root Chakra
If you routinely struggle with scarcity, isolation, stability, or family it’s very likely the energy flow in your root chakra is sluggish. The root chakra processes the energy of survival, stability, and tribe. It acts as the foundation for you to build on.
Sam has a steady job and brings home enough money to pay the bills, save a little and have some extras. He likes his job and the security it provides but is looking for some part time work to supplement it. He always feels like there isn’t enough money even though all of his obligations are met. He’s hoping the extra income will help him feel more stable and secure.
Rachel comes from a large family. All of her siblings invite her over for dinners, movie nights, and family activities regularly. She often declines because she feels isolated and like she just never fits in. Whether she is in a large group or one on one she feels out of place. Relationships feel hard because she worries about not really belonging.
You can often spot a block by the recurring pattern. As the saying goes, where ever you go there you are. When there is a recurring theme it’s always a good idea to look at the common denominator. Often the common factor is you, that’s when it’s time to look at all of the layers of the pattern.
Everyone has areas in their lives that run really smoothly and others that just seem to have problem after problem. For each of us it’s a little different for a number of reasons.
If you want true transformation each layer of the problem must be addressed. The physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of a problem have different nuances.
For a block in the Root Chakra try this:
Turn on some music with a slow primal beat, drumming works well. Allow the music to flow up through your body. Sway your hips and slowly stomp your feet. Focus your thoughts on the root chakra and the core words belonging, safety, security. Repeat daily, noticing any shift in thoughts, behavior, and feelings
